Our unique handmade wood clasp bracelet has a comfortable leather band. The design of the clasp is clever and secure.  Two strong magnets hold the clasp together.  This clasp is  Hawaiian Koa.  Koa grows in Hawaii where it is cherished for its golden color and lovely grain. The style of the bracelet is slightly understated and not flashy. The black leather band adds to its casual and natural look.

Of all of the pieces we create (and remember we have been making things for 40 years) the wood clasp is technically the most challenging thing we make.  The tolerances are tight and the clasp is slightly curved so it fits onto a wrist.  We start by choosing lumber that is strong with pretty grain. Each piece is cut using a router.  The magnets are glued in using a two part epoxy. The clasp is then shaped, sanded and finished.  Once the clasp is all done the leather band is cut to size and carefully glued into the clasp.
